The Hue Behind the Hue
Why I created this space—and why your health, creativity, and self-expression matter more than ever.
Thank you for stopping by.
My story began more than a decade ago.
With half a four-year degree in communication studies, I ended up graduating with a bachelor’s in philosophy instead. Then I did what most people do post-grad—I built a career in a completely unrelated field.
After intermittent years between marketing roles in advertising, PR, and social media, I made the leap that defined the subsequent decade of my life, pursuing life as a fitness coach.
After nearly a decade in the fitness industry, working with clients of different ages and ranges, teaching various modalities to every class size and demographic you can imagine, and yes I was one of those people leading a room full of people through a workout, while doing every move myself, as I attempted to delivery an inspiring rallying speech on the fly. While I got to witness my impact on people’s lives immediately, one truth kept nagging at me:
Our bodies and physical performance is only the first layer of health and well-being.
The missing piece was the understanding of the interconnection between all our parts. People kept asking me about weight loss, but what my soul wanted to say was there’s so much more to it than body fat percentage.
Because beyond aesthetics and mere physical performance—it’s our brain, mind, body, and soul, alongside nature, what we eat, our spiritual explorations, the people we spend time with, our inner dialogues, how we move, the activities we spend time on, the things we pay attention to, our environments, our relationships, and everything else in between that’s the closest thing to magic we each have total autonomy and power over that’ll make the greatest difference in our lives.
Though straightforward in theory, in practice, due to the generations of misinformation, the misleading rhetoric of the weight loss and diet industries—the irony is, achieving health over our lifespan is a much more complex and dynamic skill to master.
This is how Happy Hue was born.
Happy Hue is an expression of my third-life.
I am a multi-hyphenate—a thinker, a creative, and a student of life, exploring Capital ‘T’ truth on what true health and well being is. This is where philosophy, well-being, and creativity meet.
I created this space to walk alongside you.
The modern world is not setup in our favor, so it’s up to us to continually experiment, educate ourselves, and adapt as the world changes too.
Flourishing is a choice and thriving is a proactive practice that requires a consistent and disciplined commitment over a lifetime, as many days as we can.
Perfection is not the game, but figuring out what works for you, at your pace is what I am advocating most.
If this sounds like a space for you, come join me as we navigate the abundance of information and together learn to create space to embrace our hues.
