I can’t help but reminisce about the six months that have gone by.

Isn’t that what we humans are supposed to do?

Live each day by a 24-hour timeline, along a 365-day calendar, paying attention—or perhaps losing attention to— the seconds, minutes, months, and years that pass.

We’re asked to celebrate milestones and honour life-changing moments.

We’re told to make memories and make money.

We’re also expected to achieve, move forward, and make progress.

What happens to a life without these things? I wonder.

Oh yes—in case you missed it—we’re nearly halfway through the year, in monthly terms, at least.

Yet, if you want to be exact on dates, then not quite yet. You still have a couple more days.

Have you been productive?

Are you where you imagined you’d be six months ago?

Are you on track to fulfil your New Year’s resolutions?

If I trace my days back to January 1, 2024, I am reminded of the theme I set at the beginning of the year: quality, compound, and execute.

(It’s also interesting to read where my mind was on my first post for the year, as while my writing style and voice have evolved, it’s clear my intention has not).

I share this with you because we’re six months in—and it’s interesting to see where my mind was at the beginning of the year.

Where was yours?

While my life rarely exists on Instagram anymore, I still cherish the nostalgia of looking through old pictures and capturing a moment.

But, these days, most of my images stay either on my phone, for me to enjoy—or perhaps, this is the right space, where I feel more free and safe to share.

Here, it’s not about the algorithms or the likes, I am only sharing what I found a moment to remember in the last six months. :)

While videos are captivating, I have a soft spot for photographs, even if they’re shot on an iPhone.

In no particular order, I look back on the past six months.

Here are some moments I took time to stop and snap; perhaps they also reflect some of the things I value—an enduring appreciation for life's simple pleasures.

One of my favourite and must have meals when I am home. Yes, that is a large plate of fried chicken at the centre.
