The art of communication— our most ubiquitous yet enigmatic skill, takes center stage in Think Fast, Talk Smart, Magic Words: Change What You Say to Inspire and Influence Others.’ Two distinguished professors, from Stanford and Wharton School of Business, illuminate our understanding of how to become better communicators through their expertise in the field.
Jonah Berger, a marketing scholar and investigator of social influence, unveils practical science-backed strategies to guide us on how to modify our vernacular in order to improve our level of influence. The truths discussed reveal the quiet yet profound power of word choice and share how we can push our boundaries for more effective communication. This conversation asks us to think differently about how we articulate our thoughts and refine our ideas.
If you’re a fan of well-told nonfiction stories and Mathew McConaughey’s ultra-sultry hunky voice (like his bedtime story special on the Calm App, which for years has soothed millions to sleep, here’s a preview), then you’ll be a fan of his self-written autobiography ‘Greenlights’.
Far from the usual celebrity tale, the audiobook, bursts with mesmerising anecdotes and unexpected escapades of the American Award-winning luminary, unveiling his ‘green lights,’ those pivotal life moments that often define our values. Filled with entertaining life moments and surprising adventures, the Academy Award-winning actor isn’t shy to share his ‘green lights’ throughout his life outside of his fame. The audiobook, a masterful piece of entertainment, promises to paint a smirt on your face.
The soles on our feet are populated with a rich network of nerve endings, which open our bodies to a world of sensations. Nabso Technology’s foot soles offer an array of stimulation options, made to create more stimulation and connection between your mind and feet. The medium-range soles are my favourite. Nestled in my running shoes, the mild arousal under my feet heightens my awareness of my feet and movements. A spectrum of arousal ranges is available, to add more vitality to revitalize your feet toward optimal happiness.
Indonesia’s three-century-long dealings under Dutch colonial rule have deeply etched their mark on Zico Albaiquni’s artworks. The Portuguese, Germans, and British all have had a hand in shaping the massive archipelago’s rich cultural history— an ever-so-distant, yet ingrained memory.
Albaiquni’s work glows with neon vibrancy, but its deeper layers entice the viewer to stay curious about its broader symbolism and meaning. The nuances of his pieces reveal a dexterous interplay of perspectives— something not easily captured in such works of 2D art— revealing captivating subjects, characters, and environments, that defy dimensions as it’s viewed from different angles and distances. Perhaps, the invitation of multiple perspectives is an indirect commentary on the complexities of Indonesia and its people with its colonial past.
While suppression and oppression were certain, perhaps the bright hues offer the potential of a more optimistic point of view, of a predominantly cruel past. Albaiquni uses a clever spectacle of visuals and colors that captivate admirers to interrogate his masterful creations.
Encapsulating the palpable pining for the pulsating heart of the famed Big Apple, i miss new york by warner case and Jean Tonique resonates with the rhythms of longing. Each beat, each note, whispers a vibrant echo of a city missed. Settle back, unfurl, and let this tune twirl you around.

In honour of all the badass women out there, here’s a poem for International Women’s Day:
Let’s celebrate the bodies that gave life to humanity,
and rejoice in the souls who make us whole.
Every woman is a pillar in this world and her world,
Despite resentment, women have risen,
Against oppression, women still glisten,
to continue to defy the odds, that is our mission!
Our value is inherent,
our species is codependent,
on us and on our part.
Let’s embrace the role nature entrusted,
Women are necessary,
Albeit belittled,
often unstated and underrated,
Women are humanity’s glories,
We are our species' victors!
With love,
The Happy Hue. xx.
