In this age of abundance, we are lucky we get to enjoy the pinnacle of human ingenuity. The world is brimming with delightful things and captivating experiences that’ll entertain all at any age. While the temptation to collect these treasures is hard to resist, here’s a curated selection for the curious tech-savvy darlings in your life.
If you’re looking to help a loved one (or yourself) transform their experience of Netflix and chill at home, invest in a quality high-definition projector. Not having a television screen as the centrepiece of a room is—I dare say—magical.
Leica released a new line of home projectors: the Leica Cine 1 and its sibling, the Leica Play 1. Do I need to say more?
Samsung The Freestyle 2nd Generation Portable Projector is a terrific option for maximal convenience, an easy setup, without compromise on quality or integrity. It can even project to the ceiling above your bed— if you so wish.
Lumos provides affordable options if you’re looking for something that performs well but is gentler on the wallet too. Their MOOD lighting projector is also a fun addition to any room—and a terrific gift bundle.
Diavalet Speakers are hard to beat. From sound quality that’s nearly as good as professional high-octane speakers, the design is also sexy and nice on the eyes. Their classic phantom model is what brought them to fame, but their portable series is worth a look.
Bang & Olufsen’s range of portable speakers is exquisite design combined with supreme sound quality. Their advantage is nearly unmatched. It’s still one of my most used gifts to date, I carry their Beosound portable speakers with me everywhere I travel.
For the audiophile seeking balance between sound quality and convenience, a Sonos speaker system is convenience at its best. Their seamless room-to-room audio experience has won them many hearts, and the Sonos Turntable Set is equally compelling. Also, their new headphones are also fashioning superior craftsmanship and audio performance, any one will be happy with.
Finding joy in the simple things is a value I cherish; indulging in Rishi Teas is one of those things. It’s become a daily habit I’ve welcomed. Available on iHerb for those outside of the US/Canada/Europe. Their masala chai is an afternoon favourite.
I try to resist drinking coffee everyday, but when I am making a routine out of it, La Republica Instant Mushroom Coffee is my latest habit. It tastes almost as good as an artisanal brew, but with a blend of seven superfood mushrooms too! It’s improved my focus, but maybe it’s just a placebo.
My tastebuds are still raving about my summer discovery of Hu Kitchen chocolates. It’s nothing like any other chocolate I’ve had before—the Hazelnut Butter Dark Chocolate and the Almond Butter + Puffed Quinoa Dark Chocolate are legendary. Apparently their salty dark chocolates are also a best-seller. If you’re thinking this gift is too simple, I guarantee all sweet tooth’s will fawn with delight. Also available on iHerb.
I came across a Lego in someone’s living room recently. It was a Lego World Map series. How brilliant! I was pleasantly greeted with a library of inspiring innovations, by Lego, when I decided to browse their website. The family owned 92 year old company, is impressive on so many levels; a company I thoroughly admire.
The Lego Art Series is simply incredible (if you haven’t seen what’s available, it’s worth a look). In particular:
the Lego World Map, which unfortunately is scarce but what a brilliant alternative to a regular wall map.
the Lego Floral Art series is as beautiful, as they are imaginative.
Lego even have a home decor range now. The lego plants are genius—just look at this cute bonsai tree (pictured above). They even have a Lego Wreath. (I know I am freaking out in excitement too!)
Do you enjoy the comforts of hotel bathrobes? To me, it signals a vacation, so why not treat your loved one to a little treat of holiday luxuries at home? Plenty of options on Etsy, with option to personalise too.
Retro cameras are all the rage right now. The Retro Camera Shop has an excellent selection of classic camcorders. But, if you’re out of luck, find your treasure at Amazon, Ebay or your local thrift shop. I really want one.
