Podcast. TED: Fixable. “How to self-promote without shame (w/ Chris Duffy).” How to reframe our intentions and leverage social media effectively—without resorting to cringe-content.
Substack. The Elysian. Elle Griffin. “Every company should be sold to its employees.” A compelling argument on true employee benefits—and why distribution of wealth through ownership matters.
Magazine. Sindroms. An independent magazine that cares about how it looks as much as what it says. A great companion for deep thinking. I was also happily allured by it’s colourful and artful pages at a cosy bookstore in Daikan-yama, Tokyo: Tsutaya Books Daikan-yama.
Article. Financial Times. Sara Germano. “How star gymnast Simone Biles returned to a ‘good spot’.” A top performer in any field will attract public attention. But, often it can be more than what people signed up for—and legendary gold medal Olympic superstar Simone Biles is an obvious magnet to such frenzies.
Article. Service95. Laura Potter. “Olympic Boxer Cindy Ngamba: “We’re Here to Represent The Millions of Refugees All Around The World.” A rare glimpse into the journey of those who defy the odds to compete on the world stage, despite circumstance, to represent displaced populations globally.
Article. Service95. Katina Bajaj. “Could Creativity Be The Antidote To ‘Internet Brain’? Here Are Five Ways to Tap Into It.” A must-read for anyone who spends time scrolling the Internet. *Wink, wink* ;).
Article. Artsy.net. Maxwell Rabb. “Pharrell Williams advocates for reintroducing fine arts competition at the Olympics.” is a brilliant reminder of why Pharell, in his 50s, continues to stay relevant as a maverick of our time.
Study. National Library of Medicine. Multiple authors. “Brain health consequences of digital technology use.” A sobering insight on the impact of screen time on brains.
Book. Trevor Noah. 2016. “Born A Crime.” One of the most eye-opening stories I’ve ever read. Highly recommended!
Documentary. 2022. “Good Night Oppy.” A fascinating behind-the-scenes look into Mars exploration and where humanity is with space travel.
Documentary. 2024. “Big Shot: The Ozempic Revolution.” Is it safe? Is it wise? Is it a money making gimmick?
Docu-series. National Geographic. 2022. “Limitless with Chris Hemsworth.” Entertaining learning with Marvel’s Thor, off screen.
Talk. TED. 2021. “Molly Wright: How every child can thrive by five | TED.” Remarkable delivery and message by an eight year old advocating for childhood development.
