A bi-weekly Saturday listicle to spark joy on life, wellness, and everything in between.
Hello friends! Thank you for being here and reading today.
I hope your mood is airy and light, assuming you’re reading this on a beautiful weekend morning.
Random question: post-pandemic, are you still working the classic 9-5, five days a week, at an office? I would assume that most of you will answer no. But, I’m curious: What does a typical workweek look like for you these days?
Here are three tracks with the ingredients to keep you swaying and smiling this morning. Each can hold its own, but I’ve curated them together for their mild eclectic edge.
All are gently upbeat and a perfect warm welcome to the weekend, whether the weather is bright or a little dim outside. These tunes—I’ve handpicked—will keep your imaginations fluttering to the sweet scents of the ocean’s brine against the grazing breeze of a sunkissed tranquil shoreline.
Summer is just around the corner—for those of you in the Northern Hemisphere—and even those of us living in the tropics are rejoicing as we can feel the change in moods through the globalisation of algorithmic scenes flooding our scrolls—well, mine at least.
HOW I BUILT THIS PODCAST. Guy Raz spoke to the founder of Therabody, Jason Wersland, the other week; this episode is a story of triumph. I am passionate about the stories of entrepreneurs, but this one has to be one of my favourites. Even through a nearly fatal incident, this man strived to survive and is finally thriving. If you’re looking for a story of divine guidance and perseverance, this one is for you. This episode is easily one of my favourite episodes from this series— and I’ve listened to almost every episode since its inception.
POOP. Let’s get real. Everyone is always either shy or shamed about talking about poop. However, Evan Goldstein braves the awkwardness and unease by marvellously debunking the myths from the truth. He talks about how to poop right! Please stop wincing! This article is a resource. It’s time to grow up and acknowledge the natural magic that poop is. “But seriously, why you might be pooping wrong— and what to do about it” is informative and nonchalant—it’s time to get over it and admit— we all poop!
AGGREGATION THEORY. Though originally written in 2015, Aggregation Theory is an analysis of the past decade of the Internet. While we’re in a precise moment of transition, after the point the era this article focuses on; this theory suddenly feels relevant again—as a reference point into our current age of the Internet: “The age of the sovereign creator.” We are experiencing a shift, in case you missed it. However, we’re in the early days of a new era of content. Traditional media feels dated; online media acts in the definite thick of it, so its true repercussions are still to be determined. But these two articles will give you a great perspective on what’s going on— why and how we are where we are today.
ABUSE & DEEP FAKE AI. AI is a topic that’ll continue to increasingly dominate as technology becomes more integrated with most of what we use daily, but “We Need A Digital #MeToo”: The Filmmaker & Activist Fighting The Rise Of Deepfake Abuse” highlights the urgency in the context of sexual abuse—and the arguments written by Jamison Kent for Service95 (FYI a brilliant new-ish online media company by Dua Lipa, launched in 2022), is one worth getting acquainted to.
VIRGIL ABLOH. A quote I came across on Instagram:
“Life is so short that you can’t waste even a day subscribing to what someone else thinks you can do versus knowing what you can do.” — Virgil Abloh
CURRENT REFLECTION. What you think of yourself is more powerful than what everyone else thinks of you because no one knows you better than you—and most times, you’re the only one who knows intimately what you can do.
@CLEO.COLLECTS (with an Instagram of the same name) has been a vortex of visual pleasure lately. I admire the aesthetics, I appreciate the curation, and honestly, I love Cleo’s taste. It’s a source of home inspiration for my current home, my future homes, and all in between. If you didn’t know already, I am a major lover of all things interiors, decor, and design, so finding this lady has been a real treat.

SAMSARA CINE-CONCERT by Garin Nugroho was a beautiful marriage of contemporary interpretations and modern inspirations. Inspired by the format of traditional Javanese shadow puppetry—the wayang kulit— the cine-concert premiere of Samsara at the Esplanade Theatre in Singapore last month combined the pristine sounds of a classic gamelan orchestra against the backdrop of a modern black-and-white movie. Inspired by Charlie Chaplin's silent mime style, the actors presented an eclectic, dramatic, and enchanting performance, emphasising Indonesia’s cultural affinity towards spiritual mysticism.
MEAL. I recently had the best burger I’ve ever had. It was an atypical combination but honestly spectacular—especially in flavour, though the texture may seem questionable. The next time you travel to Manhattan, New York City, head down early to Cervo’s and order the lamb burger with anchovies!

Yes, I am a meat eater. Not every day, but I doubt a time in my life when I’ll say goodbye permanently to meals of juicy quality meat.
Also, I am lucky to have talented friends. She made the meal pictured above. I can’t recall the last time—if ever—I had a wonderfully seasoned, perfectly cooked homecooked rack of lamb.
But I loved it.
